GPL Downloads Affiliate Agreement

This Affiliate Agreement (“Agreement”) sets out the terms and conditions governing your participation in the GPL Downloads Affiliate Programme (“Programme”).

By applying to or participating in the Programme, you (“Affiliate”, “you”) agree to be bound by this Agreement. Please read it carefully before registering.

Your participation in the Programme is to promote GPL Downloads and earn commission on memberships or products purchased by users referred through your website or other approved channels.

1. Approval of Application

We reserve the right to approve or reject any affiliate application at our sole discretion. If your application is rejected, you will not have any legal recourse against us.

2. Commissions
  • Commissions are paid monthly, subject to a minimum payout threshold of $30 USD.
  • Referred accounts must remain active for at least 31 days for a commission to be valid.
  • Self-referrals are strictly prohibited. You will not receive commission on your own purchases.
  • Commissions are only paid on successfully completed transactions.
  • Transactions that result in refunds, chargebacks, or disputes will not be eligible for commission.
3. Affiliate Responsibilities

As an Affiliate, you agree to:

  • Promote GPL Downloads in a lawful, honest, and ethical manner.
  • Ensure that all promotional content is accurate and not misleading.
  • Clearly disclose your affiliate relationship in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including guidelines set by the Federal Trade Commission or equivalent authorities in your jurisdiction.
4. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination:

  • Misleading or deceptive advertising (including false claims or misrepresentation).
  • Spamming (including unsolicited mass emails, posts, or messages).
  • Promoting GPL Downloads on websites that contain or encourage illegal activity.
  • Trademark or intellectual property infringement.
  • Generating affiliate commissions through fraudulent means.
  • Using pop-ups, pop-unders, iframes, or similar methods to set cookies without explicit user action.
  • Self-referrals or manipulation of the affiliate tracking system.

GPL Downloads reserves the right to request the removal or modification of any promotional content that does not comply with these standards.

5. Incentives and Promotions
  • Affiliates may offer rebates, discounts, or incentives derived from their own commission.
  • Affiliates may not bundle GPL Downloads products with unrelated third-party products or bonuses without prior written approval.
6. Affiliate Links and Promotion

You may promote GPL Downloads using:

  • Text links and banner graphics
  • Email marketing (in compliance with applicable laws)
  • Websites, blogs, and social media
  • Offline advertising (e.g. print media)

You may use materials provided by us or create your own, provided they comply with this Agreement.

7. Coupon and Deal Sites

If you promote GPL Downloads using coupons or deals:

  • You must have prior approval to promote any coupon.
  • You may not use misleading language implying offers that do not exist.
  • You may not bid on search terms such as “GPL Downloads coupons” or similar variations without permission.
  • Users must see the offer details before an affiliate cookie is set.
  • You may not use deceptive calls to action, such as “Click to see coupon,” when no offer exists.

Failure to comply will result in immediate removal from the Programme.

8. Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Policy

PPC advertising is not permitted without prior written approval from GPL Downloads.

9. Termination

Your participation in the Programme may be suspended or terminated at any time, at our sole discretion, with or without cause.

Upon termination:

  • Any unpaid commissions may be forfeited if earned through a violation of this Agreement.
  • You must immediately remove all affiliate links and promotional materials.
10. Limitation of Liability

GPL Downloads shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of revenue, commissions, or data, arising from participation in the Programme.

We make no guarantees regarding:

  • The performance or availability of the Programme
  • The accuracy or reliability of tracking systems
  • The uninterrupted operation of our website
11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GPL Downloads, its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your participation in the Programme
  • Your breach of this Agreement
  • Your negligence or misconduct
12. Modifications

We reserve the right to update or modify this Agreement at any time. Continued participation in the Programme constitutes acceptance of any changes.

If you do not agree with the updated terms, you must terminate your participation.

13. Duration

This Agreement begins upon acceptance into the Programme and continues until terminated by either party.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of [Insert Your Country/Jurisdiction].

15. Electronic Agreement

This Agreement is an electronic contract. By completing the affiliate registration process, you acknowledge and agree to its terms.

This electronic acceptance has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
