Listeo – Directory & Listings With Booking changelog

Release notes for every version we have on record, newest first.

Latest 2.3 3 versions

New
  • Setup Wizard: new Demo step after the license. Besides the Multi Purpose demo (the full listeo.pro demo, imported exactly as before) you can pick a themed demo: Car Dealers, Doctors or Rentals. A themed demo brings its own listing types, taxonomies with their terms and Make > Model relations, listing fields, Add Listing and search forms, about 30 to 60 listings with photos, their fictional owne...
  • New option Customize > Blog > Blog Options > "Blog posts style": List (default, unchanged), Grid with 2 columns or Grid with 3 columns. It applies to the blog page, category and tag archives and blog search results, so they all look the same. In the grid, each post is a card with the featured image above the title, author, excerpt and Read More link. The sidebar and pagination stay as they are....
Improved
  • Setup Wizard: running the Content step again first removes the demo content imported before (any demo), so two demos never mix. The wizard shows what will be removed and asks for confirmation; only items the import created are deleted (media files included), settings go back to their values from before the import, and pages or listings you changed after the import are kept unless you tick them....
  • Styles for the new Listing Fields section layouts of Listeo Core: Highlights (icon on top, bold value, small label, 2 to 6 columns that shrink on tablets and phones, or exactly the columns set per device in the Elementor widget), Table (label and value rows with divider lines) and collapsible sections (headline with a turning arrow, no script). Dark mode and RTL included; sections without these...
  • Styles for the new search form elements of Listeo Core: "Buttons (pick one)" (a row of buttons in the main color, as tall as the selects in every form type), "Select: up to / from", the result count on the search button, dark mode and RTL. Requires the Listeo Core update.
  • Sidebar search: every range slider (Year, Mileage and other number fields) now sits in the same box as the price slider, and in custom sidebar forms these boxes line up with the selects instead of being indented.
  • Category custom search fields work within each search form when a page has several of them (Listeo Elementor Search Card). Requires the Listeo Core update.
  • Styles for the new number and unit display of listing fields, field labels on listing cards and taxonomies shown as tags inside the listing details. Requires the Listeo Core update.
  • Range sliders in search forms are set up one by one: each shows its own unit (or the currency for the price) and the Enable/Disable link affects only its own slider. Needed for the new number sliders in Listeo Core.
  • Single blog posts can now use a different layout from the blog index and the category archives. Previously one setting, Customize > Blog > Blog Options > "Blog layout", controlled single posts, the blog index, archives and search results together, so a wider single post was not possible without changing all of them. A new "Single post layout" option sits next to it and defaults to "Same as Blog...
  • Styles for the side-by-side From/To search element (two equal columns, long labels cut with an ellipsis, RTL) and the disabled look of chained selects (for example Model before a Make is chosen) in the sidebar, half-map and main search forms, including dark mode. Requires the Listeo Core update.
Fixed
  • Setup Wizard: opening the Content step (even without importing, or skipping it) replaced the colors and fonts of the active Elementor kit with Roboto and green defaults. The kit is now written only by the import itself, in its last item "Finish", with the same values as before.
  • Setup Wizard: a listing gallery entry whose image was not part of the demo was saved under the ID 0, so several of them collapsed into one broken entry. Such entries are now left out.
  • Setup Wizard: with WP_DEBUG display on, the Support step (and the import's last item) showed a block of Elementor PHP warnings such as "Undefined array key button_background_position_tablet" while the Elementor kit CSS was rebuilt. The wizard built the kit settings without the per-device (tablet, mobile) controls Elementor uses when it writes CSS. It now builds them the same way Elementor does,...
  • Setup Wizard: term settings with several rows (for example the parent terms of a related taxonomy) kept only their last row, and term images were not linked to the imported images. All rows are written now, with the image IDs of the import.
  • Setup Wizard: the final link repair pass over all imported posts ran in one request and could time out on slow hosts. It now runs in batches of 25 posts in the new "Finish" item.
  • Outline (line) SVG icons, such as Tabler or Lucide icons, uploaded as category or term icons showed as solid shapes or a solid square in category tabs, icon boxes, map pins, listing type icons, highlighted categories and feature icons. They now render as outlines in the theme color; filled icons look the same as before. Icons with a transparent bounding square (Material, Tabler filled) no longe...
  • The radius switch (Disable) of a Search Card or other search form with its own form ID no longer reloads a Listings widget on the same page. Requires the Listeo Core update.
  • Search forms: choosing an option of a dropdown inside an openable panel (for example the From/To dropdowns of an Openable Panel in the half map search form) closed the panel before the choice could be checked or applied. The option was handled like the panel's own toggle link. The panel now stays open. The open list of such a dropdown was also cut off by the panel's scroll box; it now shows in...
  • Setup Wizard: on some servers the imported main menu came out flat (submenu items such as List Layout, Grid Layout, User Profile or 404 Page shown side by side in the header, and the page links missing). The import kept its old-to-new ID maps in transients, which a persistent object cache (Redis, Memcached, LiteSpeed) holds only in memory: when the cache was flushed during the import, menu item...
  • The search box inside long dropdowns of search forms (more than 8 options, for example Make) was wider than the list and had a large bottom margin in sidebar forms.
  • Setup wizard: the demo's Add Listing forms, listing types, home slider, social icons and body font were never imported. A loop variable overwrote the option name, so the values were saved under wrong names. They are now imported, and the stray options are no longer created.
  • Customizer > Listings: the default archive layout now shows "Map on top", which is what the archive uses when the setting was never saved (the old default was not one of the choices). Nothing changes on the front end.
  • Updating plugins in bulk from Appearance > Install Plugins could end in "Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string" and leave the whole site, wp-admin included, showing "Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance" for ten minutes. It happened when one of the selected plugins required a newer PHP or WordPress version than the server has: since WordPress 6.3 the updater reports...
Security
  • SVG files could carry script inside comments or processing instructions that the SVG sanitizer left in place; inline SVG icons (category icons, field icons) could run it. The sanitizer now removes them, and cached copies are rebuilt.
  • Behaviour change: SVG uploads are allowed only for users who may post unfiltered HTML (administrators, and editors on single sites). Listing owners and authors can no longer upload SVG files. The listeo_allow_svg_upload filter changes who may.

Improved
  • Built-in breadcrumbs: Breadcrumb NavXT is no longer a required plugin. While NavXT is active nothing changes (its output and settings are used as before). Without it, the theme prints its own breadcrumbs with the same markup, classes, schema.org attributes and trail as NavXT's default settings (Home > Blog > Category > Post, Home > Listings > Category > Listing, Home > Shop, search, author, dat...
  • The "Add" buttons on the Pricing cards now also work with the Listeo Booking Plus popup: a service added from a card is pre-selected when the popup opens and services picked in the popup are reflected on the cards. The buttons are hidden on listings with resources (services are chosen per resource inside the popup), stay in sync when a service quantity is changed, and Individual services get a...
  • Icon fonts (Font Awesome, Brand-Icons, simple-line-icons, fontello, iconsmind, datedropper) now declare font-display: swap, and Brand-Icons, simple-line-icons, fontello and iconsmind ship WOFF2 files listed before WOFF/TTF. PageSpeed Insights no longer reports the theme's fonts in the "Font display" insight, and browsers download a 39-68% smaller file for those icon sets. Child themes that rede...
  • Renamed the license/update client to inc/class-listeo-license-client.php (class Listeo_License_Client, with a b472b0Base alias for Listeo Core and child themes). Removed an unreachable raw cURL fallback, debug leftovers and scanner-specific wording, and documented the transport format, so hosting malware scanners stop flagging the file as a theme backdoor. License data received from the server...
  • The Listings (big) map uses the self-hosted OpenStreetMap tile and Nominatim servers set in Listeo Core > Map Settings, when configured. Requires the Listeo Core update. (HS 68079.)
  • Calendar help icons now sit beside their labels and show tooltips on hover or keyboard focus.
  • Compact iCal export controls with keyboard- and touch-accessible help popovers and shorter actions. Requires the updated Core export controls; compatibility settings appear only for preexisting listings.
  • Updated Moment.js to 2.31.0 and Bootstrap Select to 1.13.18 with its HTML sanitizer enabled. Updated the bundled Bootstrap dropdown component to 3.4.1 and preserved Listeo select styling compatibility. Asset versions force browsers to fetch the updated scripts.
Fixed
  • OpenStreetMap map tiles on the full-width map are now requested from tile.openstreetmap.org directly, instead of the deprecated a/b/c subdomains. (HS 68308.)
  • "Find my location" ran twice on every click on pages with the full-width map, because the theme carried its own older copy of it alongside the one in Listeo Core. The theme copy has been removed; the Core one, which this file already depends on, handles the button. Requires Listeo Core 2.2.4 or later. (Reported by a customer, HS 68275.)
  • These items were not split by version in this file. Per-version notes: https://docs.purethemes.net/listeo/knowledge-base/changelog-listeo/
  • The order payment page hides the misleading "Qty" column for booking orders and adjusts the totals row alignment. Regular product orders continue to show quantities.
  • The inline style printed when bookings are disabled site-wide (three-column pricing rows in the listing form) no longer applies on phones, where it overrode the stacked mobile layout of the Pricing & Bookable services rows. Requires the Listeo Core update for the full mobile fix. (HS 68123.)
  • Plain links inside notification boxes (for example "Restore it" on a hidden conversation) had the same colour as the text and no underline, so they were invisible. They are now underlined; button links are unchanged. (HS 68135.)
  • WooCommerce account and checkout password fields showed a second, unstyled "show password" button below the field. The theme replaces WooCommerce's stylesheet and already adds its own reveal icon, so WooCommerce's button is now hidden wherever the theme's control is present (wrapper class listeo-password-field). (HS 68094.)
  • Author page: custom owner fields enabled in the Listing Owner widget are shown regardless of the owner contact visibility setting, matching the widget (filter listeo_owner_widget_show_custom_fields). (HS 68059.)
  • The password "show" (eye) icon could appear at the edge of the page instead of inside the password field, because its wrapper had no relative positioning. The lock icon in front of login and registration password fields stays visible with the fix. (Reported by a customer, HS 68094.)
Security
  • Bookings imported from an external calendar export their own title and details again. The rewritten export only handled bookings made on the site, so every imported booking went out as "Reserved" with an empty description, even on a private link with details enabled.
  • ICal export now requires the updated Listeo Core access helper. Legacy links expose only availability and may be disabled per listing; private token links expose guest details only after explicit opt-in. Removed personal and booking metadata from availability feeds, escaped calendar text, preserved event UIDs and disabled response caching. Update theme and Core together, purge existing cached c...
Removed
  • Removed the legacy remote license-command endpoint and its init hook, including theme/plugin deletion and remote license/cache removal commands. Normal license management and update checks remain available.
2.0.45 1 new6 improved12 fixed
New
  • Added Listeo Dashboard / add-on card images.
Improved
  • The Listings Map (big map) now supports the new Yandex Maps provider from Listeo Core > Map Settings (requires Listeo Core with that option; the Yandex API and layer scripts are loaded by Core).
  • The Listings Map (big map) now passes the new "Google Maps color scheme" setting from Listeo Core > Map Settings to the Google layer.
  • The Listings Map (big map) now respects the new "Group nearby markers in clusters" toggle from Listeo Core > Map Settings, so marker clustering can be disabled without editing theme files. Requires Listeo Core with that setting; older Core versions keep clustering on.
  • Admin assets now load on the new Addons and Core settings pages (for the Listeo Dashboard).
  • Booking price breakdown collapsed-by-default support passed through to the booking widget.
  • Bundled plugin versions updated (Listeo Core and add-ons).
Fixed
  • The Listings Map (big map) now passes the configured Google Map ID to the Google layer, so Cloud-based map styles apply there as well. Only the search results and single listing maps were forwarding it. Requires Listeo Core 2.1.8 or newer, which forwards the Map ID to the Google map constructor. (Reported by a customer.)
  • Author profile rating bars now include the actual criteria used by each approved review, so authors with listings that use different type or taxonomy criteria show accurate per-criterion averages.
  • The WooCommerce payment (order pay) page now always shows the event date stored on the booking itself. Recurring events (Listeo Booking Plus) used to show the first date of the series instead of the picked occurrence, and single-date events could show the ORDER creation date combined with the event's correct start time whenever the listing's stored event date didn't parse under the site's curre...
  • The WooCommerce payment (order pay) page no longer shows an empty "Extra Services:" heading for bookings that have no extra services (for example event listing types with add-on services disabled).
  • The weDocs plugin (which Dokan's setup wizard installs automatically) no longer breaks the site's layout. weDocs registers Gutenberg block stylesheets that WordPress prints on every page of a classic theme, and several of them bundle a full Tailwind CSS reset that overrides Listeo's own styling (headings, lists, buttons, images and spacing site-wide). Listeo now removes the weDocs stylesheets e...
  • Mobile: selecting a date range in the booking calendar now works on touch devices (on iOS the end date was never registered, leaving the Apply button disabled so taps on it did nothing).
  • Mobile: the two-month date range picker now opens as a fullscreen scrollable view on phones with the Apply/Cancel buttons always in view (previously it overflowed the screen and the buttons could be unreachable).
  • The date range picker Apply button now looks visibly disabled until a full range is selected.
  • Dark mode: the booking "Slots" editor on the add-listing/resource form now uses dark styling (slot cards, the "Slots" stepper, remove button and the empty-state message were rendering with light backgrounds).
  • Dark mode: the "Bookable services" / pricing builder on the add-listing form now uses dark styling (the service item card and its "Basic service info" / "Booking & availability settings" panels, section titles, numbered badges, field labels and the remove button were rendering light).
  • Dark mode: the "Mandatory Fees" repeater on the add-listing form now uses dark styling (the fee row card, the remove button and field text were rendering light/dark-on-dark).
  • Minor admin and customizer cleanup.
